“Education will open doors where none seem to exist.”?????

“Education will open doors where none seem to exist.” I am disagreeing with this statement. To me, this sentence does not make sense. In my opinion, education is just basic foundation to think better. Also we can learn more worthy things out of the education, education has limit. According to statement no educate people can not doing anything. This is wrong idea. Moreover, before we got the education, we have to decide and we have to some desire of learning. Education is not duty, so it can not come to us. We have to connect like story of the Kaffir boy. Education has a lot of stuff and step. That is why some of people can not be educated. So I believe education will be help to think better way. Also we can not ignore non educated people, because their idea and thought can not be found in what we educated at the school. Their ideas are from their knowledge and experience. it has more variety and opportunity than our limited thinking and knowledge. So I can say people will open doors where none seem to exist not only education.

Lesson 3~!~!

Lesson 3 was very interested to me. because this lesson was easy to understand and have good topic. Also he used some attractive videos such as give to me huge impact. This lesson mainly talked about Anthropology which is study of man. The professor teach what is sin, how it came, how sin affect us and how man changed by sin. Human was innocent first time. After sin came to us we are changed. It means we can go to hell by our sinful act. These kinds of thought are look like Christian idea. However this time he was not only Christian side. He also talked about opposite side by ask question. “How do differing views of mankind play into the social struggles and conflict we see in our culture?”. Also he shows some examples. “Sick people are made by a sick culture” by Abraham Maslow and “experience leads me to believe that it is cultural influences which are the major factor in our evil behavior” by Carl Rodgers. It shows first time people was kind, but cultures effect on people. This idea was pretty interested to me than Christian idea. Another issue of this lesson battle between human and god. It was very good arguing. I couldn’t remembered what exactly he contrast each other. it sounds like basic knowledge, but also deep enough. Anyway I enjoyed lesson 3, it was best class than last two lessons.

Ghost~!~!

In the Joy Luck Club meaning of the ghost is ignore and forgotten. Story didn’t mention a lot about real meaning of ghost. So some of people may say it is kind of described. However, I think this is more complex image than what people think. I believe this is very sad thing in Asia countries. because in Asia we are respect people even if we don’t know them. If someone forgotten in the family member, this is saddest thing. Furthermore it shows strict culture style. Even I have same opinion. I can’t accept this kind of mother. I’m not saying every Asian doing like that. However, Most of people may have same idea like this in Asia. Some of other countries culture can accept this kind of happening. .but I am more familiar the Joy Luck Club story.

Ying-ying St. Clair~

in my opinion, her virtues is her personality. not being selfish and desire.so she can understand a lot of things than others. this kind of personality can make her life not comflicated. maybe that time this kind of character is normal and role. i think she just follow generation style.
Her weaknesses also her personality. she is too shy and don't think about herself. most big problem is it can be infulence to her daughter. as a parent, she has to show her good image. if person can't say their opinion, it is not their real life. nobody can't do everything than you.

The Joy Luck Club

So far I read four stories. First, The joy luck club was story about Jing-mei who lost her mother recently. Second, the Scar story about Rose Hsu Jordan also who lost her mother by the family. This two story shows relation between mother and daughter. Most of story are not going good way but they are trying to something better. At the end of story the realized and understand their mother. I think both of stories focused on Chinese people’s hardship at that time. Moreover their endure, effort of overcome hard situation and dream of the America for better life.
Third, The red candle was story of Lindo Jong about Chinese marriage, unfair life and parents. Fourth, The moon lady was story about Ying-Ying who has always trying not being selfish. This two related women’s traditional concept. Follow their parents and mother-in-low, being quiet and not claim their opinion. By the women’s unfair, they tried something for escape unfair life. But they couldn’t escape perfectly. They still have some traditional mind in their deep side of heart. This all of four stories are showing their reaction in hard time in china. Their hope for better life and better life for the children. But I’m wondering about why author used only women character in the story?

Where???

Empty and hollow place with nobody.

But I can hear their voice also I can see the past.

Cold and white rooms for them.

Tears for afraid, sorrow and happy.

Scream for pain, sad and despair.

Afraid of death, ruin and lost.

Delight of live, success and gain.

Tear, scream, afraid and delight.

Restart point or last point of life.

Stand alone with all of feelings.

Lsson.........TWO.....

I’m lost at lesson two. Lesson two was harder than last lesson. I think this lesson mainly talking about the Philosophy vs Ethics and cosmic cube. I was interesting about the cosmic cube because I heard about only cosmic cube. I couldn't think about the truth like that much deeply using with word cosmos and universal. Truth and reality was very profundity things than what I thought. His explanation about cube was strange. Illustrates the naturalistic worldview belief that there is nothing outside the cosmos; reality is a closed box and all truth must be materially perceived. How can sure about nothing outside the cosmos? I thought of this cube is different. If there is truth in the box, outside of box will be exist more majestic things than truth. We don’t know about any truth of ourselves, so we can’t say like nothing is outside of the cosmos. I really like to discuss this kind of things, because I can learn something in the discussion. No answer of this kind of discussion so I can think what I want and I can say with confident what I thought. Another interesting was between personal worldview, formal worldview and biblical worldview. This lesson mentioned like consequence of a non-biblical worldview is buying the lies and conform to the world. How about if we have biblical worldview? What is different? I don’t know why Christian said bad way to non Christian. They don’t have any confidence and nothing sure as a Christian, however, What they talked about non Christian was more cruel and has certain form for what is wrong to them. Today I couldn’t finished lesson, so I will keep listen about lesson two then I will see the how is it going and what is his conclusion.

The Truth........?

Before I start I searched word meaning Veritology and it means study of truth. So my thought of The Truth Project was very interesting and deep. His teaching was pretty different than what I thought before. What I thought of question of why did Jesus come into this world? was very normal. I said because of he want to came. The professor said Jesus came to world redeem us, save us and testify the truth. This view has different point with me as a not Christian. Also I am very wondering about why people always trying to solve problem from God. Why always Christian? I think we also have to mention about other religions like buddhism. That is sound more fair. If it has details and appropriate reasons. I will get interested in Veritology, because I think I can learn more about truth. The second thing in this lesson was about Cosmic battle. I though like is it space war or very serious discussion between agree or not. In this lesson it means battle between God’s Truth and the lies and illusions of the world, the flesh and the devil. but I can’t understand about truth and lies. What is truth? Is it what Jesus said? However, we can’t define truths and lies, maybe God also can’t define truth, because we don’t know at all. We can’t believe what we think wrong then that will be become lie. Truth depends on peoples mind. If we can’t agree truth it can be lie to us. Even if God always said the truth, it’s depend on person who listen. I think it’s not our fault. If God exist, he has to persuade all of us as a God. If he can’t, it means he failed as a savor. just I hope to learn something in this lesson.

Eyes.....open????

One year ago, I heard this story by song. That why I researched about exactly situation. This story happened in Chung-Ju, Korea. It’s story about two high school students. This two students loved each other so much. But their love reached girl’s pregnant. Then, they thought best way to solve their problem, because they don’t have any ability to take care baby. They were just student.  When they still thinking about solve problem, also girl’s stomach growing. They were tried to solve problem. But they couldn’t solve problem. Then they decided something together. Their choice was suicide. Next day they jumped at the apartment which is 35M high(15^th floor). They left their will for parents. It said that sorry for baby, parents and they were loved so much. This is the end of the story. They didn’t choose blindness in this situation, because that’s impossible to ignore. However, I really don’t understand their way of solve problem. Death can’t be a solution for any problem. They just escape their hardship, so I can say they were bad example of solve problem. Even if their eyes open to problem.

Anxiety

To me anxiety is really serious thing, because I don’t have anxiety in my life. I really do not want to use my brain for any anxiety. However if I have anxiety, I will deal with anxiety by sleeping, playing with others whole day, eating a lot, and….maybe fighting. I am usually skips my anxiety. Because I think my anxiety is smaller than others anxiety. To me hunger and bored are my biggest anxiety in these days. I can’t live complicated life. Even if anxiety comes to me I will skip easily. This is my coping strategy of solve my anxiety. However conflict between others is pretty different. because it depends on people who have conflict to me. For example, conflict between me and my brother. I will try talking first then we will fight. This is best way of solve problem me and my brother. Me and parents also different, In this case I have to obey what parents said if I was right. I like my family’s way of solve conflict. It’s so easy to me. But I am not good at conflict with other. I feel like I have to understand them because they are different. So I just trying to hear what they talking about and what they want to me.

Ending???

Ending of this story is so tragic. Jocasta suicided herself, because of the shame and sorry for Laius. When Oedipus saw Jocasta, he pierced his eyes himself. Then he left city with give up everything even his position of the king. They are so….. cruel family. They choose too hard punishment for themselves. Lauis killed by his son, Jocasta suicide, Oedipus pierced his eyes. Who can say they are normal family? When I read the ending I really felt…. Pity and sorry. I thought it will be happy ending. Because of most of old story finished with happy ending and this story don’t have any good things before ending. Also i really couldn’t get the what author want to talk about. This story has just tragic ending with no teaching. Everything goes what oracle said, and nobody can’t changing that oracle. Even if they try best to changing bad things, nothing changed. Just I am wondering about if Oedipus was humble person not as arrogant and ambitious person. then he may not be a king of Thebes. Also the ending of the story can be changed a bit. I want to know about why author wrote story so tragic without comedy or any other positive things.

Fable?

One day.... A chicken arrived at the lake. "i can fly" said the chicken. After he said that he jumped up the tree. "woooooooooooot?~ he's doing that again." said other chickens. The chicken  fall in the lake, but he counldn't give up. He tried flying agian and again with his wet wings. "I have wings. I  have legs. but why i can't flying??"he talking to himself. When he came back the home, everyone looks him like a stupid chicken. Next day he tried flying again, but result was same.He can't understand why he can't fly.  but one of his friend said "How can you walk easily with wet wings and small legs?" The chicken answered"well....i don't know...." However, everyday his effort make him muscular chicken.... This chicken became other chickens role model. Next day...when chicken arrived at the lake, he heard the one shouting in the lake "HELP ME~". when the chicken heard this shouting he dived the lake then rescued that other chicken. After that he realized  suprise thing.... he can swimming~!!!!!
